- Basic plumbing services
- Home maintenance and repairs
- Outdoor services and maintenance
- Commercial handyman services
All services are provided by insured professionals in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
3. Service Area
Our services are available in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including but not limited to:
- Toronto (Downtown, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke)
- Mississauga and Brampton
- Markham, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan
- Oakville and Burlington
- Other GTA communities (availability upon request)
4. Booking and Scheduling
Quotes and Estimates
- Free quotes are provided for all services
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Final pricing may vary based on actual project requirements
- Written approval is required before beginning work
Scheduling
- Appointments are scheduled based on availability
- Same-day service available for urgent requests
- 24-hour notice required for cancellations
- Weather conditions may affect outdoor service scheduling
5. Pricing and Payment
Pricing Structure
- Time & Materials: $150 first hour, $95 per hour thereafter
- Fixed-price quotes available for larger projects
- Material costs are additional and itemized separately
- Travel charges may apply for locations outside core service area
Payment Terms
- Payment due upon completion of work
- Accepted methods: Cash, credit card, e-transfer
- HST (13%) applicable on all services
6. Materials and Supplies
- We can source materials on your behalf or work with customer-supplied materials
- Customer-supplied materials must be available on-site before work begins
- We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied materials
- Unused materials remain property of the customer
7. Warranties and Guarantees
Service Warranty
- 1-year warranty on workmanship for all services
- Warranty covers defects in installation or assembly
- Does not cover normal wear and tear or customer misuse
- Warranty repairs provided at no charge during warranty period
Satisfaction Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction with our work. If you're not completely happy with our service, we'll work with you to make it right or provide a refund for unsatisfactory work.
8. Liability and Insurance
- We carry comprehensive general liability insurance
- We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or hidden defects
- Customer property damage covered up to policy limits
- Customers must report any damage within 24 hours of service completion
9. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate project information and requirements
- Ensure safe and clear access to work areas
- Remove or protect valuable items from work areas
- Provide necessary utilities (power, water) as required
- Be present or designate an authorized representative during service
- Inform us of any hazardous conditions or materials
- Comply with any building codes or permit requirements
10. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations
- 24-hour notice required for cancellations
- Weather-related cancellations do not incur charges
Refunds
- Refunds considered for unsatisfactory work on a case-by-case basis
- Partial refunds may be provided for incomplete work
- Material costs are non-refundable once purchased
- Refund requests must be made within 7 days of service completion
11. Safety and Compliance
- All work performed in compliance with Ontario Building Code
- Electrical work limited to basic installations (permits when required)
- Plumbing work limited to basic repairs and installations
- Customer responsible for obtaining necessary permits
- We reserve the right to refuse unsafe or non-compliant work
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Shine Handyman and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our content without written permission.
